The WoW Workshops

Regina Curley

The idea to create one-day short education workshops for therapists resulted from teaching the Diploma in Reflexology and a lot of experience as a practitioner.

I love creating workshops to help therapists get better results with their clients. After thirty years as a practitioner, I have treated many different conditions. After twenty-five as a Reflexology teacher, I realised that the Diploma syllabus lacked a lot of content, and new therapists can feel isolated and inadequate when working alone.

How do I know this? Because I was a teacher myself abiding by this system! So helping people is my passion and assisting therapists to to feel more confident and in control is my specialty. None of that was on the syllabus either! I am a heart worker, and teaching is a work of heart.

Before any misunderstandings occur, I am not suggesting that the basic Diploma taught is useless; it just lacks some practical input that an experienced teacher/practitioner can add!

My workshops are relaxed, friendly, confidential, and safe. No judgement, no criticism, just interactive learning, and fun. Lots of information is discussed at workshops and I like all participants to feel that they can share in safety. We all feel silly at times, asking questions, just in case others will think that we don’t know our discipline. I was one of those greenhorns too!

When you come along to one of my workshops, you will meet other therapists who feel the same way you do. I aim to help you feel confident and relaxed while learning new skills. We often have experienced therapists join us who have other training, and I encourage them to share their knowledge with us if they so wish, as it broadens knowledge for all. We are a healing community, and sharing is the best way to make it a superb healing community.

Every workshop is a learning opportunity for me too! My motto is 'education is never a waste of time', you will always use your knowledge at some stage, but it is most certainly a waste if it is not shared.

Most importantly I like to have fun when I teach. The best way to learn is when we are relaxed and happy. Sadly in the Western world, we learn through stress and overwhelm, not the best way to take in information! If you come along to learn with me, bring your sense of humour with you and we will have a fun-filled day action-packed brimming with support and learning.

Allow me to show you how to make your treatments WoW - Wholesome, optimised, Wellbeing, so you get the best possible results for your clients. It’s good to leave with a new set of techniques in your repertoire to fill your confidence cup and rekindle your enthusiasm! A very important aspect is, that you the therapist feel supported and I aspire to that in all that I do.

When clients send back testimonials and tell you that they are feeling so well, that their experience of Reflexology is so much better than they first thought it would be, that is music to any therapist's ears, knowing that you are helping yet another client who is feeling poorly, to improve their health and feel better.

I am a lifelong learner, always open to learning and trying new things. Education is power and a good teacher empowers the student, that’s probably why so many return to my various workshops to learn more.

My work of heart is a dedicated zone, where I do what I love. You know what they

say, love what you do and you won’t work a day in your life!! How lucky am I?
