💗 If I knew then what I know now!

Are you aware of the energy that you operate in? Are you a Goddess or a dragon?

I’m sorry to say that I have been a dragon for lots of my young life. I thought that being fierce was the best way to be, get things done and keep order?

Mmmm....not so. It turns out I made things exceedingly difficult for myself by being in my masculine energy most of the time. Well, I imagine there are female dragons as well as male dragons! The thing is, I wasn’t aware of it, so it would not have been possible to change it until I became aware.

When I was growing up, my Dad was the dragon and my Mam was the Goddess. She was very much a peacemaker and went about her business in a quiet but firm way.

On the other hand, my Dad was very present, he had a loud voice that was very authoritarian so his word was law and that was it.

So they say you copy what you see until you realise that it doesn’t work for you. The understanding of how rules and

regulations worked came from my family of origin. A lot of rules to be kept, so I continued that practice with my own family.

While I still believe that rules are important, they provide everyone with safety and security, they also should be flexible enough to be changed should the need arise.

So when you operate in your dragon energy, its quite fierce, loud and hot! How the information you communicate in this mode is not always received in a way that would be easy to carry out??

Well obviously, that’s the truth, as I was met with lots of resistance especially when the teenagers hit our household!

Indeed, how the message is delivered has a huge impact on how it is received too.

Do you like to be told what to do in an orderly commanding fashion? I certainly don’t. Did I give orders, yes I did, all in the name of good practice and efficiency? If I knew then what I know now!

When I became aware of another way of doing it, drawing on the female energy, which is much softer and more yielding, I found that everyone wanted to please me, and did exactly what I asked and more????

Mmm......well what a revelation! The energy of softness is so much more powerful than we ever think possible. You feel much better too, that’s important isn’t it, that you feel good while you are at work, be it family or career!

I did hear that lesson being taught in a practice I took part in, which worked on the softness of female energy, but I didn’t listen intently enough, or take it on board at the time, but I hear it now!

I’m a slow learner, I could have saved myself such a lot of strife!
